    Trade Shows - The Down and Dirty

    We recently did our first trade show - ISpa in Las Vegas (see pic for our setup which we carried and build on site - what fun!!). What an experience. The key takeaway was that innovation requires bold moves, being authentic, and staying focused on your True North. Sitting on the sidelines and judging is no way to experience life. Get involved.

    I was struck by this quote in particular:

    “I could not become anything; neither good nor bad; neither a scoundrel nor an honest man; neither a hero nor an insect.     The three morning keynotes were each worth a trip cross-country in and of themselves.

    They inspired laughs, tears, mental stimulation and provoked the nearly 2,500 attendees to fulfill their potential and push everyone beyond her comfort zone.

    I made a ton of great new friends and the feeling was truly that of a family. People were open and honest, willing to coach and give advice, and most importantly, let us know where the post-show parties were being held.
    Chris Birchy, COOLA founder, won an innovation award with is COOLA Cart, a brilliant way to get his products into customers hands when they most need it.

    Paul from Salt of the Earth - http://saltearthspa.blogspot.com/ - hosted a lively auction where this extraordinary list of items brought in funds for the ISPA Foundation (In 2013, more than 300 items were donated to the Foundation's Auctions and proceeds exceeded $106,000)

    This was our first trade show and going in, we had no idea what to expect. We launched our new Aromaflage display to increase POS efforts and people loved our new sayings, "Attract Hugs not Bugs," and "Love Bites Only." We are having fun with it! My expectations of such events have been raised thanks to the efforts of ISPA and its incredible staff. Michael Tomkins (http://www.experienceispa.com/about-ispa/ispa-chairman/) brought endless energy and passion to the event.

    The ending party at nightclub Light at the Mandalay Bay capped off a very successful ISpa 2014.

    Will we be doing more trade shows? Absolutely. Which ones? That si hard to tell but we have been advised which ones are worth the time and energy. Stay tuned...and if you ever second guess saying yes to a new, positive experience, embrace your inner fool: at the end of the day, you will be happier even if you fail. Be Bold.
