What a beautiful wintry mix we had fall on us today in New York City. After a fun meeting at the Andaz on 5th Ave. where Momo and I enjoyed soul-warming peppermint hot chocolates, I had a few minutes to let my mind wander - in between searching new ways to optimize our online presence in the ever confusing land of SEO and marketing bombardment - and my mind wandered to…bugs. Yes, bugs!! Funny and strange, I know, but I wanted to understand more facts about bugs. Check out this link to learn some cool facts about these mysterious insects. The most fascinating, I thought, was this: “To survive the cold of winter months, many insects replace their body water with a chemical called glycerol, which acts as an "antifreeze" against the temperatures.”
Of course, everyone knows that male mosquitoes do not bite humans, but rather live on plant juices and other natural liquids from plants and decomposing organic material. Just wanted to share a daily dose of insect knowledge. Stay warm tonight.
