  • Off the beaten path: '17 Summer travel destinations

    Off the Beaten Path!
It's finally that time of the year: summer air filled you with wanderlust. Packing your bags, you head out to your favorite beach destination. It's the journey, you tell yourself, not the destination that matters.

Nevertheless, there are destinations that simply call out to you. Places that are off the beaten path. Sights that you haven't seen before.

Here's a list of summer destinations for this year.

    Bikepacking in Colorado:
    Bikepacking
Embark on an off-road cycling adventure in the Kokopelli Trail, a 150 mile route connecting Colorado and Utah. With climbs and descents, it can be quite challenging but it is worth the effort.

    Eclipse watching in Wyoming:
    Wyoming
With the total solar eclipse coming up on August 21 this year, plan a trip to Jackson Hole in Wyoming. Featuring a stunning landscape and very little light pollution, it is the perfect spot for viewing the eclipse. After the eclipse, indulge in a bit of hiking in the Yellowstone national park.

    Underwater diving in Costa Rica:
    Costa Rica
Experience a different world by diving underwater at Cocos Island in Costa Rica. Called the 'most beautiful island in the world', it has an underwater population like no other, with hammerhead sharks, manta rays, dolphins and whales.

    Beach walking in Seychelles:
    Beach
Consisting of 115 islands, Seychelles lies off the African coast with some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Walk along the pristine white sands experiencing a sense of oneness with the universe. It's almost spiritual.

    Discovering sushi in Japan:
    Japan
Instead of Osaka and Tokyo, head to the city of Kanazawa in Japan. It is known for its sushi delicacies and old wooden teahouses. For an authentic experience, look for a farmhouse to stay where you can live off nature and cook your own meal.

    And don't forget your Aromaflage:
No travel plan is complete without an adequate supply of your favorite botanical insect repellent Aromaflage. Carry Aromaflage with you wherever you go for a bug-free and worry-free vacation.
